At Hope Charity, our vision is a world where every individual or being, regardless of circumstance, has access to the resources, support, and opportunities needed to live a fulfilling and dignified life. We envision a global community that unites in compassion, where hope thrives, and we hold every human life and human with value
HOPE Charity is an organized social entity established in the year 1999 to work with the communities that has experienced the chaos and pain of a prolonged civil unrest that has wrecked the entire region resulting in massive human misery due to poverty and social injustice.
Justice: We strive for social rights of individuals and communities and access to resources and power.
Dignity: We believe in all people realizing their rights, respect and healthy self-esteem.
Solidarity: We empathically identify ourselves with the plight of marginalized and discriminated groups.
We take a holistic, integrated approach to empowering the Sri Lanka’s most poor and vulnerable communities.
We trust in building partnerships with the communities we work with and advocate pragmatic partnerships in decision making and execution.
In Partnership: Across the Sri Lanka we work in partnership with, local NGOs and CBOs who understand the needs of their communities, and are in the best position to develop responses that are relevant and sustainable.
Community-Led: We support grassroots initiatives where community members, especially those most impacted by poverty and marginalization, participate at every level of implementation.
