Our name, “HOPE,” stands for Humanitarian Organisation for Poverty Eradication. As HOPE Charity, we are committed to uplifting poor and vulnerable communities across Sri Lanka through compassion, empowerment, sustainable development, and social justice initiatives.
HOPE Charity is a national non-profit relief and development organization based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Was established in 1995 with the aim of eradicating the poverty and suffering of people affected by poverty, natural disasters, crises and conflicts in Sri Lanka. HOPE Charity is dedicated to creating lasting change for poor and vulnerable people and their families in Sri Lanka
HOPE Charity projects will soon have improved the living conditions of more than three million people in the Sri Lanka.

HOPE Charity is committed to giving impoverished communities all around the Sri Lanka access to clean and safe drinking water. For the sake of one’s health and wellbeing, access to clean water is seen as a fundamental human right.
We envision a sustainable future with safe food, clean water, shelter, livelihood, education and other aspects of life for poor and vulnerable people.

As an Islamic humanitarian aid organization committed to responding to the teachings of the Qur’an and Hadith to show mercy to the orphans and the poor, we accept and act on the historical truths of the Islamic faith.
We want to help as many poor and needy people around the Sri Lanka as we can, including those in our own communities here in the Sri Lanka. We have carefully developed in our international humanitarian aid campaign to offer much-needed support to the most vulnerable in our communities. We focus largely on including housing, food distributions, sustainable livelihoods, community water solution projects, education, early childhood development, health and nutrition, women empowerment and so much more throughout Sri Lanka.

HOPE Charity. Provides permanent Pipe Borne water connections for poor and vulnerable families in rural villages who have to travel far to fetch water drinking water.
Through the water, sanitation and hygiene. Since 1999, we’ve improved facilities rural and disadvantaged communities, completing over 30000+ projects for 660,000 beneficiaries over 6 Provinces in Sri Lanka with local and international doner support.
Wells can last for over a decade with regular maintenance, but eventually will need a major overhaul. Through our expertise and skilled workers, we install a new pump, repair the cement slab, or blow debris out of the bottom of the old well.
Sustainability must be part of the long-term solution. We maintain over 130 Tube wells with water tank across the country, keeping the clean water flowing for over 1200 rural poor families.
HOPE Charity has constructing over 40 new community wells in Sri L Lanka where each well provides safe, clean and healthy water for over 2600 rural poor and needy families.
HOPE Charity is implementing livelihood development program to increase the income of 553 poor and led women headed families who have been identified from the backward villages in Ampara, Batticaloa, Trincomalee districts in Sri Lanka. Under this scheme, agriculture, inland and lagoon fishing, small scale dairy farming activities ventures have been provided with financial and equipment assistance.
200 families involved in small scale agriculture and highland corps have been provided with the necessary financial assistance including seeds and seed paddy, fertilizers and sprayer.
The program will benefit 200 families directly and improve the education and nutrition of school children in these families.
230 fishermen who are fishing in inland and lagoons have been provided with small boats and fishing equipment.
13 people are provided with bicycles and boxes for fish businesses through this project, and 246 families are directly benefit and the improving education and nutrition of school children in these families.
120 women have been provided with good racial cows to start a small amount of coat farm. With this, women receive an average income of an average of 150,000 each year
The program will benefit 120 families directly and improve the education and nutrition of school children in these families.
